🧭 What to Expect from Therapy

A Space That’s Yours

Starting therapy can feel like a big step — especially if you’re not sure what to expect. My aim is to offer a space where you feel respected, seen, and at ease enough to be real.


There’s no pressure to have everything figured out. Just turning up is more than enough.

Your First Session

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. You’ll have space to talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, ask questions, and get a feel for how I work. There’s no obligation to continue — it’s about finding what’s right for you.


We’ll also talk through some practical things like session times, fees, boundaries, and how we’ll approach cancellations or breaks.

In-Person or Online

Sessions can be held in person at my therapy space in Bristol, or online using secure video or phone. You’re free to choose what feels most comfortable — or shift between them depending on your needs.


All sessions are 60 minutes and offered weekly or fortnightly.

Confidentiality & Respect

 

What you share in therapy is treated with care and confidentiality, in line with professional ethical guidelines. If anything needs to be shared (e.g., due to risk), I’ll always aim to discuss it with you first.


This is your space — held with respect, curiosity, and a belief in your capacity for growth.

A Note on Working with AI

To enhance accessibility and clarity, I sometimes use trusted AI tools (like the one that helped build this website) to streamline administrative tasks or shape written resources. These are never used during sessions, and your personal data is never shared. You're always welcome to ask more.
